A Limited Member is an individual involved in the petroleum industry, but who does not have a Participating Society in his/her geographical area. Limited members must be actively engaged in petroleum accounting, public accounting, or education directly connected with the petroleum industry. Dues and initiation fees for Limited Members shall be determined by the Board of Directors and approved by the Council.

In order to become a Limited Member, individuals must submit an Application for Limited Membership to the COPAS Office. Applications may be submitted at any time, and shall be subject to review and approval by the Executive Director or other designee approved by the Board of Directors. (Article II, COPAS Bylaws)

Annual dues are $145, with an initiation fee of $25.  Membership is based on the calendar year and runs from January through December. By completing the application, you are confirming you have read and understand the requirements for Limited Membership in the Council of Petroleum Accountants Societies, Inc. (COPAS).  It is your belief you are eligible for Limited Membership, and agree to be governed by the COPAS Bylaws upon approval of your application.
