Ethics for the Petroleum Industry

Using a Petroleum Energy context, this interactive course is focused for CPAs to meet annual two-hour CPE ethics requirement (except Texas). Building from relevant Petroleum focused work in public practice, industry, government, and nonprofits, this case-based and problem based instruction will allow you to consider relevant ethical dilemmas. This course is also suitable for non-CPAs.

Traits of Ethical Accounting

  • Courses of Action – Case Study Based

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:

  1. Identify key tenets of AICPA Code of Professional Conduct
  2. Recognize and examine ethical issues within the context of the petroleum industry
  3. Determine and prioritize courses of action for ethical dilemmas with COPAS areas of responsibility
  4. Recognize and differentiate between state rules of professional conduct
